Carinya Cottage - Gerringong

Carinya Cottage is a great place to relax and recharge in picturesque serene surroundings. There are many things to do in the local area like fishing, canoeing, swimming, boating, kite surfing, surfing and learn to surf programmes. It is also home to the famous Werri surf beach. If you would like a game of golf, there are seven amazing golf courses in the area.

Gerringong is a beautiful coastal town where the “mountains meet the sea” and only has a population of around 3,000 people. The views and scenery are breath-taking. Using Carinya as a base there are many to places to explore by car like the towns of Berry, Jamberoo and Gerroa, wineries, historical buildings, antique shops, craft shops and Kiama Blowhole is only 10 minutes away. Also Nowra is about 20-25 minutes away south and Wollongong is about 30-40 minutes north.

Mick Cronin (ex Parramatta player) has his pub here and the food is highly recommended. Mick is usually around and serves at the bar. There are lots of cafes and restaurants in town and the Bakery serves great coffee. Try the Bacon and Egg Rolls - they're great!

Gerringong Bowling Club has a bistro and a restaurant and has entertainment most weekends along with regular meat and seafood raffles. Although only a 5 minute walk, they have a pickup and drop off service for a gold coin donation. 

For your grocery shopping needs there is an IGA supermarket and a great bottle shop at the back of the main street (Blackwood Street). The main road has some great gourmet butchers and a bakery.
